This is Paryot.
Paryot is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields where farmers grow wheat and groundnut, with the Salt Range to the south. In a straight line, Paryot is about 15 km from the M2 motorway at the Kallar Kahar interchange, 16 km from Kallar Kahar lake, 21 km from Talagang and 34 km from Chakwal city.
Across this plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad, and that is part of the story of Paryot too, keeping its people connected to the wider world.
