By straight line, Lawa is about 26 km away, Talagang about 29 km, and both the Kallar Kahar lake and the M2 motorway's Kallar Kahar interchange about 44 km.
Across the Potohar plateau, families grow wheat and groundnut, relying on the rains. Many families here have members serving in the army or working abroad.
