Bains, also spelt Banis, is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines where farming depends on rain. Wheat and groundnut are the main crops of the area, and the Salt Range rises to the south.
In a straight line, Dhudial is about 32 km away, Chakwal city 40 km, Rawalpindi 42 km and the Islamabad airport 44 km. Across the plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
