This is Chak Sadwala.
Chak Sadwala is a chak in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. A chak is a settlement of the canal era, and the village carries that story in its name.
In straight-line distance, Choa Saidan Shah and the Malot temple are about 35 km away, while the Katas Raj temples and Dandot in the Salt Range are about 38 km. The land around is the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined and rain-fed, with wheat and groundnut farming and the Salt Range to the south.
Across the Potohar, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad. The full story of Chak Sadwala and its families is still to be told by its own people.
