This is Dhok Chhatial.
Dhok Chhatial is a dhok, a small farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range rising to the south.
Talagang is about 7 km away. The Kallar Kahar lake and the M2 motorway interchange at Kallar Kahar are each about 38 km off, and Lawa is around 45 km. Across the plateau, wheat and groundnut farming shape the rhythm of the land, and many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The full story of Dhok Chhatial, its families and its days, is still to be told by the people who live here and love it.
