This is Dhok Chowala.
Dhok Chowala is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet, in District Chakwal in Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to its south.
In straight-line distance, Talagang is about 38 km away, Islamabad airport about 57 km, Chakwal city about 60 km, and Kallar Kahar lake about 63 km.
Across the plateau, wheat and groundnut farming are common, and many families have members serving in the army or working abroad. The full story of Dhok Chowala is still to be told by its own people, and this page is a place to begin.
