This is Kohali.
Kohali, also spelt Kohala or Kohāla, is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies about 60 km from Chakwal city, 39 km from Talagang and 55 km from Islamabad airport. Kallar Kahar lake is about 64 km away in a straight line.
The land here is part of the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined ground where farmers grow wheat and groundnut on rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south. Many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The fuller story of Kohali, its people and its history is still to be told by the villagers themselves. This page is an invitation to add it.
